The flexible hours and open seating of the ten restaurants of the Norwegian Jewel make for an exciting and relaxing cruising experience. The added convenience of being able to make reservations electronically from your stateroom when you want to dine at a specific time helps to avoid long wait lines. While the meals at the main restaurants are included in the price you pay for the cruise, some of the other restaurants onboard do charge a cover fee.

There are daily selections available for breakfast and lunch in the two main restaurants – Tsar’s Palace and Azura – which include healthy choices and low calorie foods. Even for these meals, you will have your own waiter at the table. Tsar’s Palace is the larger of the two and has an exotic decor, which along with the floor to ceiling windows will entrance you almost as much as the food. The Azura is smaller and has a more intimate atmosphere. Both venues serve the same meals for dinner, which still gives you a choice in a mouth-watering five course meal.
The Blue Lagoon serves hearty meals that will keep your stomach from rumbling during the day allowing you to focus on the day’s activities that you have planned. The Garden Cafe and the Great Outdoors have buffet-style dining for all three meals as well. There are self-serve coffee machines and ice cream dispensers that are a favourite with passengers.

The grill on the pool deck is very convenient for those days when you just don’t want to get out of the sunshine. Here you can have burgers, hot dogs and fries and the service is very fast so you won’t be away from your lounge chair for very long.

When you want to get away from the gourmet food of the main dining areas, check out Cagney’s Steakhouse, which also serves poultry and pork as well as other items on the menu. You do have to try the renowned Cagney Fries. For Asian cuisine, dine at the Chin Chin where you can feast on many different selections. The Thai banana pancakes served with coconut ice cream is one of the favourite desserts served at this venue.

Le Bistro specializes in French Cuisine and you can create your own pizza or pasta dish at Mama’s Italian Kitchen. If Tex-Mex is your preference, then you will be in heaven at Tango’s Tex-Mex and Tapa’s Bar and Restaurant.

At each venue the food is prepared to perfection and will keep you coming back for more.
