My wife and I have been on a couple of other cruises in the past and we decided to give the Eclipse a try. We are glad we did because it is the nicest ship we have travelled on and we will definitely be sailing with them again.

We booked Aquaclass to we were supposed to have priority boarding but there was still a lengthy queue as many others had the same idea. The welcoming staff could have been more personable thought as we were welcomed on board with an indication of where the drinks trays are located. A courteous smile and "How do you do? Welcome aboard" would be better. The standard boarding queue was lengthy which delayed our departure and also had an effect on the delivery of our luggage.

Once on board we made our way to our cabin which seemed larger than we imagined it to be but still limited. There is a lack of drawer space in our cabin but there is plenty of shelving above the beds. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable and the largescreen TV could be viewed from anywhere in the cabin.

The bathroom was the best I have seen on a cruise ship. A terrific multi-directional shower and abundant hot water supply. We found there was plenty of room to store our toiletries and other 'wet' items.

As 'Aquaclass' passengers we had two bottles of water and a carafe of iced tea delivered daily to our cabin. The different flavours of tea were nice but we didn't bother with any of the canapes.

The comfort of the beds was great and we had a variety of pillow chocolates which seemed like a nice, personal touch.

The choice of food from the restaurants was extensive and the staff, particularly in Blu, were friendly, efficient and treated you like an individual. My wife and I felt at home here and trusted the staff as they gave us the impression they had been doing this for a long time and it meant a lot to them when we complimented them on their service.

Eclipse is well designed, spacious and has a great staff. We got the impression that the staff were happy and well looked after as they were so nice and friendly and always made conversation with us when passing by.

The library was nice and had a great selection of books we could read by the living tree in the middle of the ship.

The weather was poor on one of our shore excursions but the staff and company aren't to be blamed for that. The visit to Genoa was handled well by staff and ad hoc changes to the itinerary due to weather conditions seemed were so smooth and transition-less, they seemed as they had been part of the plan all along.

The procedures to have us disembark went without a hitch and we were even off the ship earlier than planned.

We will definitely be sailing with the Celebrity Eclipse again.

positives of cruise Positives of Cruise
Our cabin was nicely decorated and the daily cabin service was pleasant.

The bathroom and shower were one of the biggest pluses. A large multi-directional shower with a large-sized head.

All staff were nice and made every effort to talk with my wife and I which was nice. The ship is well designed and spacious outside the cabins. Staff managed sudden changes to itinerary professionally.

Food was delicious in every restaurant.

negative of cruise Negatives of Cruise
More drawer space in the cabin.

More efficient boarding procedures.

I would reccomend this cruise to others.

I think this cruise is suitable for Seniors.
