Independence of the Seas image
This was our first holiday abroad in 10 years as I no longer enjoy flying. We thought a cruise would be too expensive for a family of 4, but third and fourth occupancy added together and then divided by four worked out as a bargain. When we entered the ship and saw the fifth floor with the shops and bars, then explored further we were taken aback by the sheer size of the ship and the wow factor. Glass, marble, lifts and balconies were in abundance and were quite awe inspiring. As we got to know the ship, it was very relaxed and you felt at ease rather than intimidated. The staff remembered your name straight away and were very friendly and helpful and really nothing was too much trouble. We never felt that this was a ploy to get tips, but because they actually enjoyed being there for you. Our stateroom attendant was the nicest person you could meet and his assistant(s) were so lovely and friendly and polite. We had waiters who knew what your round was without asking and were lovely people too. Because this cruise was so wonderful, we have decided this is it, from now on cruising is the only way to go !

I would reccomend this cruise to others.

I think this cruise is suitable for Party Animals.
