Independence of the Seas image
Having been on the Independence of the Seas before, we knew what to expect. Everything went smooth but I think we may have been lucky, some passengers had to queue for quite a while. We had a balcony cabin this time and we were delighted with it, and we used the balcony every day. We had breakfast and lunch in the Windjammer and ate in the MacBeth dining room in the evenings. The staff in there were just fantastic, very attentive and chatty. The evening meals were delicious with a lot of choice each night. The daytime ones were a bit more hectic as the seating was a bit of a hit and miss. There seemed to be a lot of activities going on but we mainly watched. The night time entertainment was fabulous, the ice show being the best of all. The drinks were really expensive but I think this is the case on every cruise. We have been in most of the ports so we did our own thing and didn’t take any of the excursions this time although we did feel rushed in one or two ports. I would recommend the IoS and we will more than likely travel on this or sister ships on our next cruise.
