We recently set sail on a short 3-day cruise aboard the Fred Olsen Black Watch ship, and were very pleased with what we found during this quick voyage. You have to take into account that this is a small ship, holding only 800 passengers, so the whole experience is much more intimate we found than on the larger vessels.

positives of cruise Positives of Cruise
The check-in for the ship was very easy as we were onboard in no time, making our way to desk 4 forward where we found our cabin. The cabin had plenty of room, it even had two portholes to see out of, so we were pleased with what we found compared to other cruise ships we have sailed on.

The ship had some great areas to be had, including The Courtyard, which included a bar, seating area, as well as a piano area. The main dining room, the Glentara Restaurant, was also put together nicely. There was great décor throughout the entire ship. The waiting staff during dinner were very attentive and seemed happy to be serving you at each and every meal.

The entertainment for the few nights made for some very enjoyable evenings. The first night featured singers and dancers with some fantastic music to go along with the performance. The other two nights featured a comedian, as well as a magician. Both of these performances were also splendid as they were well rehearsed and really knew how to work an audience.

One of the gems of the ship though was the Lido Bar, which included a pair of singers who would play at night and put you in a pure vacation mood from start to finish.

As I stated, getting on and off of the ship was very simple, as the whole check-in and embarkation process was as easy as could be, as was the disembarkation process.

negative of cruise Negatives of Cruise
The only negative I may have to point out is that the back of the ship did smell of fumes from the engine at times, but this could have been due to the ship’s smaller size.

I would reccomend this cruise to others.

I think this cruise is suitable for Seniors.
